I’ve always been the kind of person who followed the rules—stellar attendance, an academic overachiever, logging countless hours volunteering, and never so much as a single speeding ticket to my name. My tendency for order turned out to be a solid launchpad for my career in tech. And yet, there was something about the idea of companionship that I couldn’t shake off.
